Short description

The Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) represents the biggest university in Slovakia which provides complex and integral education in economic and management study programmes at all levels of study. EUBA has been educating economic leaders for 85 years, during which university has prepared more than 117,000 graduates. Currently EUBA has 7 faculties and 7,000 students and belongs to the 6 percent of schools in the world with a focus on economics degree programs that have received the prestigious AACSB accreditation. EUBA graduates are the most interesting for employers among graduates of all universities and colleges in Slovakia.

Scientific research/artistic projects

With 85 years of history, the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) is a leading institution in Slovak research landscape, particularly in economics and business studies. The university is deeply committed to interdisciplinary research and has recently launched a strategic consortium with the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, focusing on cutting-edge research in energy, semiconductors, and urbanism. Internationally, EUBA plays an active role in prominent European research initiatives. Its participation in Horizon Europe projects, such as those exploring Financial Markets (e. g. GA No. 825215 FinTech, GA No. 101092639 FAME), Sustainable Growth and Climate Resilience (e.g. GA No. 692413 EDGE, GA No. 619487 CHILDREN), and Regional Studies and Tourism (Espon No. EE/SO1/066/2018), demonstrates its commitment to address global challenges. The university is also advancing research in Digitalization and Automation (MIT Seed Fund, Horizon GA No. 101086381) and Migration and Social Studies (Horizon GA No. 822806), underscoring its broad academic impact. EUBA collaborates closely with the private sector, offering

tailored solutions for SMEs, state institutions, and sectoral associations. This collaboration strengthens its role as a key driver of Slovak economic and social development. Furthermore, the university’s recent advancements in behavioural economics, with research published in prestigious journals such as the American Economic Review, highlight its growing international reputation.

International relations

EUBA in a long-term perspective belongs to those Slovak universities with the largest proportion of international students and staff on an exchange basis. EUBA was ranked among the TOP 500 European institutions of higher education by the European Commission, which sent out and accepted most of the students within the Erasmus+ programme. EUBA was also involved in the Erasmus Success Stories of the Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission, and has been awarded the quality label of Erasmus mobility by the National Agency for Erasmus+, for education and training. EUBA has a network of 350 partner universities in 65 countries around the world.
