Short description

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) is an internationally recognized research and educational institution that provides education and solutions in various fields. TUKE is the second-largest university in Slovakia, with more than 12,000 students. It offers education across nine faculties and provides 327 attractive study programs focused on technical, economic, and artistic disciplines. TUKE is a proud member of the alliance ULYSSEUS (https://ulysseus.eu/sk/), which consists of 8 strong universities and collectively hosts over 225,000 students across 143 faculties throughout Europe. The strong partner network of ULYSSEUS opens up numerous opportunities for both students and employees.

Scientific research/artistic projects

TUKE had excellent research and development in the following fields:

Digital transformation, artificial intelligence, ICT for cybernetic space;

Hydrogen technologies;

Smart mechanical engineering technologies and products development, production and distribution with “zero” emerging risks;

New materials for automotive electronics (intelligent components and systems in the framework of Industry 5.0);

Technologies for material processing and exploitation (mining, material science and metallurgy);

Progressive materials, constructions and technologies for civil engineering;

Biomedical engineering and additive technologies.

HPC Supercomputer at TUKE

Enterprise Europe Network – since 2022, a member of

the largest innovation and entrepreneurship support network (as the only university in the Slovak Republic);

European Digital Innovation Hubs – EDIH CASSOVIUM – the coordinator of the European Digital Innovation Hub with a budget of EUR 3 million.

International relations

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) has cooperation with partners from 46 countries of the world, signed 310 Erasmus+ bilateral agreements and 115 cooperation agreements and memoranda.

TUKE is a founding member of the Ulysseus Alliance of European Universities. The Ulysseus Alliance of European Universities was established in 2020 and its other members are:

1 university from Northern Europe – Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland;

3 universities from Western Europe – the Université Côte d’Azur in France; MCI, The Entrepreneurial School in Austria and the University of Münster in Germany;
