Professor Juraj Stern's anniversary

In these days, Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Juraj Stern, PhD, former president of the Slovak Rectors' Conference (1997-1998), commemorates his round life anniversary. Professor Juraj Stern is currently the rector of the Pan-European University and from 1994 to 2000 he was the rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava.

Professor Juraj Stern is an economist. He works professionally mainly in the subjects Production Organization, Production Management and has established a new subject Logistics. He is the author or co-author of several monographs, textbooks, more than thirty professional texts, several research studies and articles at home and abroad. For his contribution to the development of education and international cooperation between Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, the University of Budapest awarded him in 1997 Honorary title of Doctor honoris causa.

Professor Juraj Stern is also actively involved in foreign policy as well, he is the chairman of the board of directors of the Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA).

President of the Slovak Rectors' Conference Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Rudolf Kropil, PhD. on behalf of the SRC, wishes to the rector Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Juraj Stern, PhD. good health, well-being and many more creative forces.
