On June 5 and 6, 2025, the III Slovak-Hungarian Rector's Forum took place in Prešov (Slovakia). Rectors of Slovak and Hungarian colleges and universities once again had the opportunity to jointly discuss current issues related to higher education, science, research, as well as internationalization and trends, including digitization and artificial intelligence. The event was attended by guests - Róbert Zsembera, State Secretary for Higher Education and Academic Research of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic, Veronika Varga - Bajusz, State Secretary for Higher Education, Vocational Education and Adult Education and Youth of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation of Hungary, H. E. Csaba Balogh, Ambassador of Hungary to the Slovak Republic, H. E. Ágota Hetey, Consul General of Hungary in Košice and others.
At the end of the event, the presidents of the Slovak Rectors' Conference and the Hungarian Rectors' Conference signed a statement.
